The achievement highlights the dealership’s long-term commitment to quality products, expert service, and strong community relationships.

Brisbane Yamaha’s journey began in 2008 when Aaron Goodchild acquired a small marine business in Burpengary. With just two staff and a modest inventory, Aaron managed every aspect of the operation himself, driven by a clear vision to create a customer-focused dealership built around the Yamaha brand.
“10,000 is such a massive number of outboards. I never imagined it was possible,” Aaron said. “It’s a real testament to our team here at Brisbane Yamaha and to Yamaha’s reputation for quality and reliability.”
Drawing on his background in advertising and early adoption of digital marketing, Aaron helped position Brisbane Yamaha ahead of industry trends. A strong online presence, combined with a focus on repowers, boats, and transparent customer processes, allowed the dealership to grow steadily and earn long-term trust.
With Australians purchasing approximately 26,000 outboards each year, the 10,000-unit milestone places Brisbane Yamaha firmly at the forefront of the national marine industry. The dealership now boasts a large workshop, experienced boat fitters, and trained technicians providing comprehensive after-sales support.
Brisbane Yamaha’s success is also reflected in its team culture, with several staff members having been with the business for more than 15 years.
