Quintrex designed the 6200 Hardtop and 6500 Hardtop models for those fishermen that wanted a smaller model size Yellowfin that still offered the protection of a hardtop cabin rig.
This 6500 model features marine core construction which delivers heavy-duty hull strength from within a sub-frame rib structure of longitudinal and latitudinal ribs. Made of 6mm vertical stringers and 5mm horizontal ribs, it is an incredibly durable platform to tackle the elements while you’re at your favourite offshore hotspot.
Ready to take on the ocean the 6500 Hardtop features a fully welded checkerplate floor with box section floor frame for extra strength. It comes complete with a hardened glass windscreen and windscreen wiper kit so it is ready to go rain hail or shine.
The Yellowfin 6200 and 6500 share the same cabin with the extra room on the 6500 model gained in the back deck yielding extra space to fish.
Other standard features include hydraulic steering and Zipwake trim tabs plenty of storage in the cabin bunks and port and starboard side pockets. Also ready for fishing duties is a livebait tank with viewing window, rod holders including six Reel Easy Folding Rod Holders, rocket launcher and bait board.
The cabin grabrails and cabin hatch make it safe and easy to access the bow area and anchorwell.
One the most popular standard features on the 6500 Hardtop is the auto self-draining floor, underfloor fuel tank, VHF radio and dual marine batteries.
